9:00 AMMad Science Camp: NASA! Jr. Astronauts

Five day science camp. Join our Academy of Future Space Explorers as you prepare to explore the galaxy. Build your own model rocket, race a balloon rocket, and then see the real thing - a rocket launch up to 300 feet in the air! Make and take your own comet, Shuttle Copter, and much more. Use teamwork to complete an important space mission. This NASA camp is 'Out of this World!' A $30 materials fee is payable to instructor on the first day.

10:00 AMFullerton Community Center Offers Free Seminar on Vision Loss

Few things in life are as important as our eyesight. The ability to see a child’s smile, to experience the many hues of a summer sunset or enjoy reading a good book is among our greatest treasures.

The Fullerton Community Center will host a free informative presentation to learn about macular degeneration and other vision impairments on Monday, August 17, at 10 a.m., presented by Paul Brennan, an Independent Living Skills instructor from the Dayle McIntosh Center’s Aging with Vision Loss Program (AVL).
