Councilmember Travis Kiger was elected to the Fullerton City Council in June 2012. Prior to joining the council, he served on the Fullerton Planning Commission for a year and a half.
Councilmember Kiger has been a long-time and prolific advocate for limited-government and taxpayer rights in Fullerton and Orange County, as well as an avid proponent of civil rights and the U.S. Constitution.
In addition to his public service, Councilmember Kiger is a technology director for an industry-leading employee benefits consulting firm based in Irvine, where he has been leading a team of developers building web solutions for Fortune 500 employers over the past eight years. Prior to that, Councilmember Kiger was a technology team leader for the Walt Disney Company, where he was responsible for managing websites such as Disney.com, ABC.com and ESPN.com.
Councilmember Kiger was born June 1, 1979 in Fullerton, California. He grew up in nearby Yorba Linda and re-established his roots back in Fullerton in 2004. Councilmember Kiger’s wife, Jessica, grew up in a small town outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Kigers have a one year old daughter named Selah.
