As part of the General Plan Update, the city of Fullerton is developing a stand alone Bicycle Element to guide bikeway planning within the City. The Bicycle Element process will seek to find answers to the opportunities and the challenges facing the existing bikeway system in Fullerton.

The goals of the Bicycle Element will be to how best meet needs and concerns of residents, harmonize bikeway and recreational trail systems and users, and gain eligibility for certain types of funding, increasing chances for other types.
