The General Municipal Election will consist of the following contests:
- Three seats for Member of the City Council (currently held by Quirk-Silva, Whitaker and Kiger)
- A referendum on City Ordinance No. 3169 pertaining to the West Coyote Hills Development Agreement
- An initiative measure placed on the ballot by the City Council to amend Fullerton Municipal Code 7.26 to allow the use, sale and possession of safe and sane fireworks in the City.
The candidate filing deadline closed on August 10, 2012. However, because one of the incumbennts did not file to run for office, the deadline extended to August 15, 2012 for non-incumbent candidates. The filing deadline for arguments for and against the measures was August 10, 2012. The deadline for filing rebuttal arguments was August 20, 2012.
