Helicopter Noise Abatement Procedures
Follow arrival and departure paths as shown, UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY ATC. All procedures are for VFR operations only.
Arrivals
N/W - N/E - For both runway operations, follow railroad tracks.
S/W - S/E - For Runway 24 operations, use Magnolia routing. For Runway 06 operations, use Dale routing.
Departures
N/W - N/E - Fly north until railroad tracks; turn west OVER railroad tracks. Cross a point east (see map) of Beach Blvd. at 600 msl. Make N/E turn over Beach Blvd. Continue west over railroad tracks before making any other turns.
S/W - S/E - Fly south on appropriate route until over either freeway (I-5 or 91) before making any turns. Cross a point south (see map above) at 600 msl.
- Avoid overflying noise sensitive areas, unless otherwise directed by ATC.
- Maintain cruising altitude (600 msl) as long as possible. Begin descent as CLOSE TO AIRPORT as possible.
- Flight paths are shown for both Runway 06 and 24 operations.
