Fullerton, Ca – The July 4th tradition continues in the City of Fullerton as they prepare for its annual Independence Day celebration with its 25th Annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival.

The festival will be held from 5:00 - 9:30 p.m. at the Fullerton High School Stadium, which is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Berkeley Avenue and Lemon Street. No alcohol, animals, personal fireworks, glass, canopies or umbrellas will be allowed in the stadium.

Admission is free.

Entertainment for the night will be provided by "Soundbytes."  Popular on the Southland music scene for years, “Soundbytes” has been the backup band for Wayne Brady's television show “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” The group has also performed for Princess Cruises, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers, and lead singer Shari Doran has appeared nationwide as Eva Peron in the musical “Evita.”

Games and food booths sponsored as fund-raisers by non-profit Fullerton organizations will mark the event, which will be topped off by an aerial fireworks display set to music by Pyro Spectaculars of Rialto at 9 p.m.

Other activities lined up for the evening includes pony rides, stilt-walkers, balloon artists, bounce houses, face painting and more.

A nominal fee will be charged for the children’s rides.

Free parking for the fireworks festival will be available at the Plummer Parking Structure, located at the southwest corner of Lemon and Chapman Avenue; the Wilshire Parking Structure, located on Wilshire Avenue, one block east of Harbor Boulevard; and the North Orange County Municipal Court, 1275 N. Berkeley, west of Harbor.

Further information about the Community Fireworks Show and Festival may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.

The weekly Thursday summer Fullerton Market will be open on July 3rd.

Persons requiring special accommodations are requested to contact the department prior to July 4.
