|Fullerton, CA – The Fullerton Public Library is sponsoring a series of free monthly talent showcases featuring a variety of local performing artists kicking off on August 26 with the "Fullerton's All Star Community Pop Band Showcase."|
The concert will be held in the Osborne Auditorium, famous for its acoustics and intimate experience of performances. This Concert is produced by Lew Dentler, a local talent supporter.
The event at the Fullerton Public Library, Osborne Auditorium, starts at 7:00 p.m. with seating available starting at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost to the concert and the entire family is invited to the experience.
The All Star Community Pop Band Showcase will include dancers from the Fullerton Community Center’s Tuesday evening dance class. Volunteer musicians make up the dance band that ranges from seven to 10 musicians including:
John & Dan & Bass- (AKA) “Ragtime Sliders” Resonator slide guitar duet with a bucket bass player.
John Noble- (AKA) “Cowboy X Band”, featured on concert piano and singer.
The 5 Star Band – 4 piece group, variety with phenomenal vocals.
Mat Matlock- Country Swing, here by special appearance.
Lew Dentler- songwriter, featuring 12-string guitar and ukulele.
Fullerton Library Director, Maureen Geblein explained, “We are constantly looking for ways to promote our local artists and this is another outstanding opportunity. The “All Star Community Pop Band” is a wonderful family entertainment venue that will give you something to talk about afterwards.” Furthermore, she added, “the concert is free making this an experience that the whole family will enjoy together.”
