Fullerton, Ca – "Wild and Wacky Musical Patents" is the theme of the next program at the Fullerton Museum, Thursday, March 7 at 7:00 pm.
Hosted by Richard Smith, curator of the Fullerton Museum Center, some of the more nostalgic musical instruments to grace a concert stage will be introduced, including early guitars from Vivi-Tone, Electro String and National/Dobro. Leo Fender, Fullerton hometown hero, had a few clunkers as well which will be discussed.
“Wild and Wacky Musical Patents” is free with a Museum Admissions. The award-winning Fullerton Museum Center, named the “Outstanding Arts Organization” by Arts Orange County, is located at 301 N. Pomona, east of Harbor, in downtown Fullerton. Museum hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and noon – 8 p.m. Thursday.
Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students with student identification and senior citizens 65 and older, $1 for children 6 to 12, and free to children under 5 and to members of the Fullerton Museum Center. Admission is $1 for all visitors from 4-8 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.
