If you’re looking forward to attending the popular weekly outdoor “Fullerton Market,” which returns Thursday, April 5, but don’t know what to do with your children, here’s a suggestion: Drop them off at the corner – the “Kids’ Korner,” that is.
The Kids’ Korner will offer a variety of fun activities throughout the 2012 market season especially designed for children.
Returning this season will be the always popular “trackless train ride” provided by Train Party Express. The train will be at every market, and tickets are $3 per person, with children 1 and under riding for free.
Other Kids’ Korner activities will include face painting, Bounce House, carnival games once a month, and caricature and balloon art. Tickets for rides and activities range from $2-$5 per person.
Also offered every other Thursday, beginning April 5th, will be special craft projects sponsored by the award-winning Fullerton Museum Center. Fee for the projects will be $3 per child, and will include admission for an adult and child to the museum’s galleries.
Now into its 21st year, Fullerton Market will also feature imported and handmade crafts and apparel, food booths, live entertainment, and the freshest in farm produce.
Fullerton Market will be open from 4-8:30 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 25 on the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue.
Parking for the market may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor); Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue; and in the Transportation Center on Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.
Further information about Fullerton Market may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.
Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the market are asked to notify museum staff prior to coming to the market.
Fullerton Market is sponsored by the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department.
